- My Good Mourning Place
My Good Mourning Place is a bereavement center designed to help children and teens cope with the death of a loved one. Located in Milwaukee, we serve all of southeastern Wisconsin. In times of death, surviving children and teens are often the "forgotten mourners". Our center helps them recognize and cope with their feelings and emotions and seeks to help them at this critical stage in their development. We have a volunteer staff of facilitators, greeters, and general volunteers to help with our fund-raising efforts. The services of the center are free so our fundraising activities are essential. For more information, please go to our website.
- William Wendt Center for Loss and Healing
Center can give names of grief counselors all over the country. It may also suggest play
therapists, because the creative approaches they use often work better than talk therapy, particularly with teenagers and adults who can't or won't say much about their loss.
