CONTINUING EDUCATION/FUNERAL DIRECTOR
LICENSE RENEWAL INFORMATION
To maintain their license, funeral directors in active practice must complete 15 hours of continuing education (CE) during each biennial registration period. Program sponsors are responsible for monitoring attendance and furnishing each participant with evidence of attendance so they may receive credit for the program. A funeral director shall submit evidence of completion upon request. Certificates must be kept by funeral directors until they are audited. Hours of CE credit shall qualify for application toward current registration period only.

3. Business Management/Delivery of Services
4. Technical/Sciences
- Licensees must complete 15 hours of continuing education.
- 3 credits must be completed for each of the four categories (3 credits x 4 categories = 12 credits); the remaining 3 credits may be earned in the category of your choice to reach a total of 15.
- Only 10 of the 15 hour requirement may be obtained from completion of home study programs.
