2009 ANNUAL CONVENTION

Invitations and registration materials will be in your mailboxes in late April.  WFDA’s 128^th Annual Convention will be held June 15-18, 2009 at The Kalahari Resort & Convention Center in the Wisconsin Dells.  All funeral directors, suppliers, students and guests are encouraged to attend the upcoming WFDA State Convention.  The schedule includes a multitude of activities for everyone.

Continuing Education Sessions

·         Nationally recognized speakers presenting a variety of subjects of interest to funeral service professionals

• Don’t miss Tuesday’s Educational Luncheon – “Seven Guidelines for Great Guest Service”,  presented by The Disney Institute

Call for 25 and 50 Year Licensees

Due to the large number of funeral directors checking the “opt out” box on their license renewal, WFDA is no longer able to identify those members eligible to receive their 25 and 50 Year recognition award.  Under state law, the Department of Regulation & Licensing is prohibited from releasing the names of credential holders requesting to be left off lists sold by the State.  Therefore, if you were issued a license in either 1959 or 1984, please call the WFDA Office at 1-800-648-5580.

In Memoriam

† Russell Skindingsrude, owner of Skindingsrude Funeral Home in Whitewater passed away on March 16, 2009.  He was a long-time member of WFDA, NFDA and the Southeastern District.

† Jim Trettin age 66, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, March 22, 2009. Jim was part owner of Brettschneider-Trettin-Lederer Funeral Chapel in Appleton and a WFDA member.
